Right Foot Fundamentals is delighted to be partnering with The Spencer Arms to offer high-quality tuition and enrichment opportunities for local children in a welcoming, community-focused environment.
Whether your child is preparing for the 11+, strengthening their understanding of English and Maths, building confidence in the classroom, or simply looking for additional academic support, our experienced teachers provide engaging and personalised learning experiences designed to help every child succeed.
While children learn, parents can relax and enjoy everything The Spencer Arms has to offer, creating a unique experience that benefits the whole family.
Weekday After-School Tuition
Monday – Friday | £30 per hour | 3 children per group
4:30pm – 6:30pm
Our weekday sessions are designed for children who would benefit from targeted support after school.
Groups are intentionally kept small, typically between 2 and 3 children, allowing for highly personalised teaching and individual attention.
Sessions may focus on: Homework support, English and Maths 11+ preparation, Exam confidence and study skills or simply strengthening key concepts and closing learning gaps.
Parent Information
As The Spencer Arms is open to the public during these sessions, a parent or guardian must remain on site within the pub for the duration of the session.
This provides a convenient option for families after school, allowing parents time to relax, enjoy a coffee or meal, and make use of the venue while their child learns nearby.
Saturday Spencer Academics
Whole day £60 | Morning only £50 | Afternoon only £20
10:30am – 12:30pm
Our weekend tuition clubs provide structured and engaging sessions for children preparing for:
• 11+ examinations
• Independent school entrance assessments
• Prep school transition and exit assessments
• General English and Maths development
Groups are slightly larger than our weekday provision, typically accommodating between 5 and 8 children.
Sessions are designed to challenge, inspire and build confidence while maintaining the supportive atmosphere children need to thrive.
Afternoon Activities
13:00 – 15:00
Families may choose to continue their day with optional activities on the common opposite The Spencer Arms.
Activities may include:
• Team games
• Sports activities
• Problem-solving challenges
• Outdoor learning experiences
• Fun social activities with friends
Parent Information
As these activities take place while The Spencer Arms is open to the public, a parent or guardian must remain within the pub throughout the activity period.
Spencer Adventure Club
Every Third Saturday
9:00am–3:30pm | £60 per child | Maximum 12 children
The Spencer Adventure Club offers children an exciting full day of outdoor activity, exploration and shared experiences beyond the classroom.
Running every third Saturday, each trip will take children to a carefully selected destination where they can build confidence, develop independence and enjoy new experiences alongside friends.
Adventure days may include:
- Outdoor activity centres
- Nature and woodland experiences
- Museums and educational attractions
- Sporting activities
- Team challenges
- Seasonal excursions
Trips will be led by experienced Right Foot Fundamentals staff, with each day planned to provide an enjoyable balance of activity, learning and social development.
Places are limited to 12 children and must be booked in advance. Full destination, travel, clothing and collection information will be shared with families before each trip.
