Whether it is in the classroom or during holiday camps, our aim is always the same: to deliver high quality education and meaningful experiences.
After more than a decade in teaching, we understand that a school is not just a building, but a community. Our goal is to support that community throughout the year.
During term time, we work closely with parents, children and teachers to provide high quality, valued tuition. During the holidays, we partner with schools to create and deliver unique camp experiences, helping schools take ownership of provision that is right for their community.

🧮 11+ MATHS — Autumn Term Challenge
Topic: Algebra, Number Patterns & Problem Solving
As we move further into the autumn term, it’s time to put those problem-solving skills to work!
This week’s challenge is all about spotting patterns, finding missing numbers and thinking logically.
Try these quick questions:
1️⃣ Find the missing number:
7 × □ + 9 = 58
2️⃣ Look carefully at this number sequence:
3, 8, 15, 24, 35, …
What are the next two numbers?
3️⃣ I think of a number, multiply it by 4, subtract 7 and get 45.
What was my original number?
4️⃣ The Mr B Challenge!
Three consecutive whole numbers add up to 96.
If the smallest number is multiplied by 3 and the largest number is divided by 3, what is the difference between the two results?

✏️ 11+ ENGLISH — Autumn Term Challenge
Topic: Figurative Language, Inference & Writer’s Craft
Great writers use language to paint pictures, create atmosphere and make their readers feel something.
This week’s challenge is all about recognising those techniques and understanding why authors use them.
Challenge yourself:
1️⃣ Which of the following sentences contains a metaphor?
a) The wind howled like a hungry wolf.
b) The classroom was a zoo.
c) The leaves danced in the breeze.
d) The rain fell heavily against the window.
2️⃣ What does the word ominous most closely mean?
a) Cheerful and welcoming
b) Suggesting something unpleasant may happen
c) Extremely loud
d) Strange but amusing
3️⃣ Read the following extract:
The playground stood deserted. A single swing creaked in the wind, while dark clouds gathered above the empty classrooms. Somewhere in the distance, a door slammed.
What atmosphere is the writer trying to create?
Identify two words or phrases that help create this atmosphere.
4️⃣ The Mr B Challenge!
Read these two sentences:
The forest was dark and quiet.
The ancient trees leaned over the narrow path, their twisted branches reaching like skeletal fingers into the darkness.
Both sentences describe the same setting.
Explain why the second sentence is more effective.
In your answer, try to identify at least two literary techniques and explain their effect on the reader.
💡 In 11+ English, identifying a technique is only the beginning. The strongest answers explain how the writer’s choices affect the reader.
